I have hand painted the set using the  Farrrow & Ball paints in 'Arsenic '  the table top and the chairs are painted in pure white.

For the chair seats I have  re-upholstered in the warm tones of autumn with a vintage vibe from the superb Prestigious fabrics.

incorporating the old with the new creates a practical funky set.

Characterful Extendable Table & Chairs

Setting the tones for Autumn.

Table and four large comfortable dining chairs, decorative designed chairs with fan backs and what I call lollipop legs.

I have  painted the chairs in a slight shabby style using 'Original white' chalk paint from Annie Sloan, All the chairs have been upholstered in a funky fabric of cool colours for a retro cool vibe.

Double pedestal base is painted in a cool blue which compliments the set and adds a splash of colour. 

Blue and whites are always a great 

colour combination.

A solid well made table and very large 

High back chairs for total comfort.

Bedroom furniture

Fabulous and funky original 1970's dressing table.

In fantastic condition and comes with

a great looking triple mirror all in superb

condition for it's age, five deep and

spacious drawers all with the original 

drawer pulls and dovetail joints. I have

upcyced this piece to incorporate the

old with the new. 

The dressing table has been painted in white & sky blue which I feel is a great colour combination and for a retro vibe I have jazzed up the drawer fronts combining different patterns using fabric in cool designs.

This  is a solid very well made piece of  bedroom furniture. 

A great funky piece for those of

us out there who like something 

a little bit different .

Welcome back to my post on bedroom

furniture. Last week I wrote about the 

Victorian bedstead and the old pine

bedframe that I have been working on, I'm still running with the Mediterranean 

feel as I love all their pretty-rustic painted  furniture. I decided to paint the frame in a gentle sky blue reminiscent of the beautiful colours you find with the colourful Greek painted furniture.

My project this week is very lovely vintage bedstead, here is a sneak peek!

I'm still running with the Mediterranean 

theme of all is bright and beautiful in 

particular blue! A very relaxing positive 

colour to be waking up too.

The table is oval in shape and

comes on a double pedestal base

with the traditional claw feet.

I have been inspired of late by

the rich Mediterranean colours

particularly the beautiful azure 

blues and the bold rustic furniture.

The set is hand painted in a 

shabby chic style to achieve the distressed worn look , I have used

Annie Sloans chalk paint in the

Bold and beautiful 'Greek blue' 

and the table top in pure white 

the whole set has been waxed 

to seal and protect, seats are 

recovered in a great design by

Prestigious in 'Cobalt'

made from solid pine and past it's prime.
