Last week I mentioned that I had a specific request from a client who wanted me to give their own table chairs a new look.
Below I have added some before and after images along with a few details on what work was carried out, just a nice example of what BowieBelle can do for some older items that just need refreshing and re-using!

The whole table and chairs have been stripped and sanded back, primed and painted in 'Pointing' eggshell by Farrow & Ball.
The top surface of the table has then been varnished.  The great thing about this paint also is that it is very easy to keep clean, just soapy water and a soft cloth does the job perfectly.

The old seat covers have been removed and re-upholstered in three designs of the same colour variations with the superb 'Clarke & Clarke' fabric in Candy Stripe, Dotty and English Rose.

The look of the dining set has completely changed and the overall finish is stunning. A great, sturdy and well made piece of furniture is happily useable once more!

Most importantly my lovely customer is more than happy with the transformation.

Lid has been re-upholstered in 'English Rose', a blue floral fabric by Clarke & Clarke.

Inside base has been lined with a pretty bird and floral patterned paper.

Each of the ceramic draw pulls are different, all with a beautiful foliage design.

I'm busy this week with a specific request from a client who would like their dining table and chairs updated.  I am giving them a completely new look, with personal input from the owner.  The table is old fashioned Ducal Pine and I am going to transform it into a beautiful piece that I hope my customer will be proud to have back in their home, and most importantly be happy with.  The chairs are going to be re-upholstered and everything re-painted with personalized colour scheme.

An unusual and original pretty piece.

This table is on a raised step base, with a harp and strings shaped support.

Small and intricate carvings on the harp.

This has been distressed with Annie Sloane 'French Grey' chalk paint. 

The white paint has been rubbed back for effect, and then varnished.

The strings are wooden and painted in silver as are the small drawer pulls.
